시편 148편은 하늘의 천사와 해·달·별, 땅의 바다와 날씨·산·짐승·사람에게 차례로 여호와를 찬양하라고 부르는 찬양시이다. 시편을 마무리하는 '할렐루야 시편'(146~150편)의 하나이다.

¹爾其頌美耶和華、自天頌美耶和華、於高處頌美之兮、

²其諸使頌美之、其諸軍頌美之、

³日月頌美之、光輝之星頌美之、

⁴天上之天、天上之水、咸頌美之、

⁵皆當頌美耶和華之名、因其降諭、咸被造兮、

⁶建茲垂之永久、定命莫能越兮、

⁷自地頌美耶和華、卽如海獸深淵、

⁸火與雹、雪與霧、遵其命之狂風、

⁹以及羣山諸陵、結實之樹、香柏之木、

¹⁰百獸六畜、昆蟲飛鳥、

¹¹地上列王、萬民牧伯、世間士師、

¹²幼男少女、耆老孩提、

¹³皆當頌美耶和華之名、以其名獨爲崇高、其榮超於天地兮、

¹⁴彼爲其民、使角高舉、俾其聖民、卽其相親之以色列族、以爲頌美、爾其頌美耶和華兮、
