시편 9편은 다윗의 시로 전해지는 감사와 간구의 노래이다. 의롭게 심판하시는 여호와가 압제당하는 자의 산성이 되신다고 찬송하고, 열방에 대한 심판을 구한다.

1（大衛的 詩，交與伶長。調用 慕 拉便。）我要一 心 稱謝 耶和華；我要傳揚 你一切 奇妙的作為。
2我要因你 歡喜 快樂；至高者啊，我要歌頌 你的名！
3我的仇敵 轉身 退去的時候，他們一見你的面 就跌倒 滅亡。
4因 你已經為我伸 冤，為我辨屈；你坐 在寶座上，按公義 審判。
5你曾斥責 外邦，你曾滅絕 惡人；你曾塗抹 他們的名，直到永永遠遠。
6仇敵 到了盡頭；他們被毀壞，直到永遠。你拆毀 他們的城邑，連他們 的名號 都歸於無有。
7惟耶和華 坐著為王，直到永遠；他已經為審判 設擺 他的寶座。
8他要 按公義 審判 世界，按正直 判斷 萬民。
9耶和華 又要 給受欺壓的人 作高臺，在患難 的時候 作高臺。
10耶和華啊，認識 你名 的人要倚靠 你，因 你沒有 離棄 尋求你的人。
11應當歌頌 居 錫安 的耶和華，將他所行 的傳揚 在眾民中。
12因為 那追討 流人血之罪的─他記念受屈的人，不 忘記 困苦人 的哀求。
13耶和華啊，你是從死 門 把我提拔起來的；求你憐恤我，看 那恨我的人 所加給我的苦難，
14好叫 我述說 你一切 的美德；我必在錫安城（原文是女子）的門 因你的救恩 歡樂。
15外邦人 陷 在自己所掘 的坑中；他們的腳 在自己 暗設 的網羅裡 纏住了。
16耶和華 已將自己顯明了，他已施行 審判；惡人 被自己手 所做的 纏住了（或譯：他叫惡人被自己手所做的累住了）。（ 細拉）
17惡人，就是忘記 神 的外邦人，都 必歸 到陰間。
18窮乏人 必不 永久 被忘；困苦人 的指望 必不永遠 落空。
19耶和華啊，求你起來，不 容人 得勝！願外邦人 在 你面前 受審判！
20耶和華啊，求你使 外邦人 恐懼；願他們 知道 自己 不過是人。（細拉）
