²Herre, hvor længe? vil du evindelig glemme mig? hvor længe vil du skjule dit Ansigt for mig?

³Hvor længe skal jeg være raadvild i min Sjæl og have Bedrøvelse i mit Hjerte om Dagen, hvor længe skal min Fjende ophøje sig over mig?

⁴Se til, bønhør mig, Herre min Gud! opklar mine Øjne, at jeg ikke skal hensove i Døden,

⁵at min Fjende ikke skal sige: Jeg fik Overhaand over ham; at min Modstander ikke skal fryde sig over, at jeg snubler.

⁶Men jeg forlader mig paa din Miskundhed, lad mit Hjerte fryde sig i din Frelse; jeg vil synge for Herren, thi han har gjort vel imod mig.
