시편 114편은 이스라엘의 출애굽과 광야 여정을 짧게 노래하는 찬양시이다. 바다와 요단강, 산들이 하나님 앞에서 물러나고 뛰노는 모습을 그리며 온 땅에 주 앞에서 떨라고 외친다.

1イスラエルの民エジプトをいで ヤコブのいへ異言の民をはなれしとき
2ユダはヱホバの聖所となりイスラエルはヱホバの所領となれり
3海はこれを見てにげヨルダンは後にしりぞき
4山は牡羊のごとくをどり小山はこひつじのごとく躍れり
5海よなんぢ何とてにぐるやヨルダンよなんぢ何とて後にしりぞくや
6山よなにとて牡羊のごとくをどるや小山よなにとて小羊のごとく躍るや
7地よ主のみまへヤコブの神の前にをののけ
8主はいはを池にかはらせ石をいづみに變らせたまへり
