시편 114편은 이스라엘의 출애굽과 광야 여정을 짧게 노래하는 찬양시이다. 바다와 요단강, 산들이 하나님 앞에서 물러나고 뛰노는 모습을 그리며 온 땅에 주 앞에서 떨라고 외친다.

1イスラエルがエジプトをいで、ヤコブの家が異言の民を離れたとき、
2ユダは主の聖所となり、イスラエルは主の所領となった。
3海はこれを見て逃げ、ヨルダンはうしろに退き、
4山は雄羊のように踊り、小山は小羊のように踊った。
5海よ、おまえはどうして逃げるのか、ヨルダンよ、おまえはどうしてうしろに退くのか。
6山よ、おまえたちはどうして雄羊のように踊るのか、小山よ、おまえたちはどうして小羊のように踊るのか。
7地よ、主のみ前におののけ、ヤコブの神のみ前におののけ。
8主は岩を池に変らせ、石を泉に変らせられた。
