But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;또 나이 많은 여자들에게는 남을 헐뜯거나 술의 노예가 되거나 하지 말고 경건한 몸가짐으로 선한 것을 가르치는 사람이 되라고 하시오.
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things ; not answering again;
Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,하느님의 구원의 은총이 모든 사람에게 나타났습니다.
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;그 은총은 우리를 훈련해서 우리로 하여금 불경건한 생활과 세속적인 욕심을 버리게 하고 이 세상에서 정신을 차리고 바르고 경건하게 살게 해줍니다.
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;그리고 위대하신 하느님과 우리 구세주 예수 그리스도께서 영광스럽게 나타나실 그 복된 희망의 날을 기다리게 해줍니다.Notes
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
