시편 113편은 할렐루야로 시작하고 끝나는 9절의 찬양시이다. 하늘보다 높으신 여호와가 스스로 낮추어 가난한 자와 잉태하지 못하던 여자를 일으키신다고 노래한다.

1Praise ye the LORD . Praise, O ye servants of the LORD , praise the name of the LORD .할렐루야. 야훼의 종들아, 찬양하여라. 야훼의 이름을 찬양하여라.
2Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.지금부터 영원토록 야훼의 이름을 찬양하여라.
3From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD’s name is to be praised.해돋이에서 해넘이까지 야훼의 이름은 찬양받으소서.
4The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.야훼는 모든 백성 위에 드높으시고 그의 영광은 하늘 위에서 빛난다.
5Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high,그 누가 우리 하느님 야훼와 같으랴? 높은 데에 자리를 잡으시고
6Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!하늘과 땅을 굽어보시는 분이시거늘.
7He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;약한 자를 티끌에서 끌어 올리시고 가난한 자를 거름더미에서 끌어내시어
8That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.귀인들과 한자리에, 백성의 귀인들과 한자리에 앉혀주신다.
9He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD .돌계집도 집안에 살게 하시어 아들 두고 기뻐하는 어미 되게 하신다.
