1Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.하느님, 이 몸을 불쌍히 여기소서. 사람들이 들볶습니다. 진종일 몰아대며 괴롭힙니다.
2Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.원수들이 온종일 들볶고 나를 몰아대는 자들 또한 이다지도 많사옵니다.
3What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.높이 계시는 하느님, 이렇게 무서울 때, 나는 당신만을 믿사옵니다.
4In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.하느님의 말씀을 찬양하오며 하느님을 믿어 두려운 것 없사오니 인간이 감히 이 몸을 어찌 하리이까?
5Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.저들은 온종일 나를 헐뜯고 해칠 생각에만 골똘합니다.
6They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.그들은 몰려들어 몸을 숨기고 나를 지켜보며, 이 목숨을 노리고 있사옵니다.
7Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.저토록 악한 자들을 그냥 두시렵니까? 하느님, 분노하시어 저 민족들을 멸하소서.
8Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?나의 한탄을 기록해 두소서. 이 눈물을 당신 부대에 담아두소서.
9When I cry unto thee , then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.그런즉 후에 내가 부르짖는 날, 나의 원수들은 물러가고, 나는 하느님께서 내 편인 줄을 알 것입니다.
10In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.하느님의 말씀을 나는 찬양하오며, 야훼의 말씀을 찬양합니다.
11In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.하느님을 믿어 두려운 것 없사오니 인간이 감히 이 몸을 어찌 하리이까?
12Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.하느님, 당신께 서원한 것 갚아드리려 감사의 제사를 바치려 하오니,
13For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?이는 내 목숨 죽음에서 건져주시고 내 발이 넘어질까 붙드시어 생명의 빛 받아 하느님 앞을 거닐게 하셨기 때문이옵니다.
