¹Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.그때에 주께서 내게 이르시되, 다른 신들을 바라보고 포도주 병을 사랑하는 이스라엘 자손을 향한 주의 사랑에 따라 또 가서 자기 친구에게 사랑받는 여인 그러나 간음한 여인을 사랑하라, 하시니라.

²So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:이에 내가 은 열다섯 개와 보리 일 호멜과 보리 반 호멜로 나를 위해 그녀를 사고

³And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.그녀에게 이르기를, 너는 많은 날 동안 나를 위해 거하고 창녀 짓을 행하지 말며 다른 남자를 위하지 말라. 그처럼 나도 너를 위하리라, 하였으니

⁴For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:이는 이스라엘 자손이 많은 날 동안 왕도 없고 통치자도 없고 희생물도 없고 형상도 없고 에봇도 없고 드라빔도 없이 거하다가

⁵Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.그 뒤에 이스라엘 자손이 돌아와 주 자기들의 하나님과 자기들의 왕 다윗을 찾고 마지막 날들에 주와 그분의 선하심을 두려워할 것이기 때문이라.
