¹യിസ്രായേൽ പറയേണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാൽ യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ പക്ഷത്തില്ലായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ,

²മനുഷ്യർ നമ്മോടു എതിൎത്തപ്പോൾ, യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ പക്ഷത്തില്ലായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ,

³അവരുടെ കോപം നമ്മുടെനേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചപ്പോൾ, അവർ നമ്മെ ജീവനോടെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളയുമായിരുന്നു;

⁴വെള്ളം നമ്മെ ഒഴുക്കിക്കളയുമായിരുന്നു, നദി നമ്മുടെ പ്രാണന്നു മീതെ കവിയുമായിരുന്നു;

⁵പൊങ്ങിയിരുന്ന വെള്ളം നമ്മുടെ പ്രാണന്നു മീതെ കവിയുമായിരുന്നു.

⁶നമ്മെ അവരുടെ പല്ലിന്നു ഇരയായി കൊടുക്കായ്കയാൽ യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ.

⁷വേട്ടക്കാരുടെ കണിയിൽനിന്നു പക്ഷിയെന്നപോലെ നമ്മുടെ പ്രാണൻ വഴുതിപ്പോന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; കണി പൊട്ടി നാം വഴുതിപ്പോന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

⁸നമ്മുടെ സഹായം ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു. Notes
