¹Cantique Mahaloth. Ô Éternel ! je t'invoque des lieux profonds.

²Seigneur, écoute ma voix ! que tes oreilles soient attentives à la voix de mes supplications.

³Ô Eternel ! si tu prends garde aux iniquités, Seigneur, qui est-ce qui subsistera ?

⁴Mais il y a pardon par-devers toi, afin que tu sois craint.

⁵J'ai attendu l'Eternel ; mon âme l'a attendu, et j'ai eu mon attente en sa parole.

⁶Mon âme attend le Seigneur plus que les sentinelles n'attendent le matin, plus que les sentinelles n'attendent le matin.

⁷Israël, attends-toi à l'Eternel : car l'Eternel est miséricordieux et il y a rédemption en abondance par devers lui.

⁸Et lui-même rachètera Israël de toutes ses iniquités.
