1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?무슨 까닭으로 설쳐 대는가요, 민족들이? 백성들이 떠들어 대는가요, 헛되이?
2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD , and against his anointed, saying ,땅의 임금들이 굳게 자리 잡고, 높은 사람들이 함께 손을 잡았군요. 그들이 여호와를 거스르고 또 여호와께 기름부음받은 사람을 거슬러 이렇게 말하네요.
3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.“끊어 버리세, 그들의 사슬을! 벗어던져 버리세, 그들의 밧줄을!”
4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.하늘에 앉아 계시는 여호와가 웃으십니다. 주님이 그들을 비웃으십니다.
5Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.그때에 주님이 그들에게 말씀하십니다, 주님의 분노 가운데. 주님의 노여움 가운데 그들을 깜짝 놀라게 하십니다.
6Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.“바로 나야, 내 임금을 그 자리에 앉힌 것은, 내 거룩한 산 시온에서!”
7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.내가 널리 알립니다, 여호와가 확정하신 것을. 여호와가 내게 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “내 아들이야, 너는! 바로 내가 오늘 너를 낳았어.
8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.나한테 요청하렴. 그러면 내가 주마, 민족들을 너의 몫으로, 너의 소유로 땅끝까지를.
9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.너는 그들을 깨뜨릴 거야, 쇠막대기로. 진흙그릇처럼 그들을 부숴 버릴 거야.”
10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.그러니 이제, 오, 임금님들, 슬기롭게 처신하세요! 가르침을 받아들이세요, 오, 땅의 재판관님들!
11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.두려워하면서 여호와를 섬기세요. 떨면서 기뻐하세요.
12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.아들에게 입맞춤하세요. 여호와가 분노하셔서 여러분이 길에서 망하는 일 없도록요. 여호와의 분노가 급히 불타오를 테니까요. 복 있습니다, 여호와께로 피하는 모든 사람은!Notes
