2Bless the LORD , O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:내 영혼아, 주님을 찬송하여라. 주님이 베푸신 모든 은혜를 잊지 말아라.
3Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;주님은 너의 모든 죄를 용서해 주시고, 모든 병을 고쳐 주신다.
4Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;생명을 파멸에서 속량해 주시고, 사랑과 자비로 복을 베풀어 주신다.
5Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.평생을 좋은 것으로 흡족히 채워 주시고, 네 젊음을 독수리처럼 늘 새롭게 해주신다.Notes
6The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.주님은 억압받는 모든 사람에게 의롭고 공정하게 대하신다.
7He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.모세에게 주의 길을 알려 주셨고, 이스라엘 자손에게 주의 행적을 알려 주셨다.
8The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.주님은 자비롭고, 은혜로우시며, 노하기를 더디하시며, 사랑이 그지없으시다.
9He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.두고두고 꾸짖지 않으시며, 노를 영원히 품지 않으신다.
10He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.우리 죄를, 지은 그대로 갚지 않으시고 우리 잘못을, 저지른 그대로 갚지 않으신다.
11For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.하늘이 땅에서 높음같이, 주님을 두려워하는 사람에게는, 그 사랑도 크시다.Notes
12As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.동이 서에서부터 먼 것처럼, 우리의 허물을 우리에게서 멀리 치우시며,
13Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.부모가 자식을 긍휼히 여기듯이, 주께서는 주님을 두려워하는 사람을 긍휼히 여기신다.
14For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.주께서 우리를 어떻게 지으셨음을 알고 계시기 때문이며, 우리가 진토임을 알고 계시기 때문이다.
15As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.인생에게는, 그 날이 풀과도 같고, 피고 지는 들꽃 같아,
16For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.바람 한 번 지나가면 곧 시들어, 그 있던 자리조차 알 수 없다.
17But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;그러나 주님을 두려워하는 사람에게는 주의 사랑이 영원에서 영원까지 이르고, 주의 의로우심은 자손 만 대에 이를 것이니
18To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.곧 언약을 지키고 법도를 기억하여 행하는 사람에게 그 사랑이 이른다.
19The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.주님은 그 보좌를 하늘에 두시고서, 그 정권으로 만유를 통치하신다.
20Bless the LORD , ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.천사들아, 주의 말씀을 듣고, 실행할 능력이 있는 용사들아, 주를 찬양하여라.
21Bless ye the LORD , all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.주의 군대들아, 그의 뜻을 실행하는 종들아, 주님을 찬양하여라.
22Bless the LORD , all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD , O my soul.주님께 지음 받은 사람들아, 주께서 통치하시는 모든 곳에서 주님을 찬송하여라. 내 영혼아, 주님을 찬송하여라.
