1And the king Ahasuerus laid a tribute upon the land, and upon the isles of the sea.아하수에로 왕이 그의 본토와 바다 섬들로 하여금 조공을 바치게 하였더라
2And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the greatness of Mordecai, whereunto the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?왕의 능력 있는 모든 행적과 모르드개를 높여 존귀하게 한 사적이 메대와 바사 왕들의 일기에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
3For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.유다인 모르드개가 아하수에로 왕의 다음이 되고 유다인 중에 크게 존경받고 그의 허다한 형제에게 사랑을 받고 그의 백성의 이익을 도모하며 그의 모든 종족을 안위하였더라
