2How long will ye vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words?너희가 내 마음을 괴롭히며 말로 나를 짓부수기를 어느 때까지 하겠느냐
3These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not ashamed that ye make yourselves strange to me.너희가 열 번이나 나를 학대하고도 부끄러워 아니하는구나
4And be it indeed that I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself.비록 내게 허물이 있다 할지라도 그 허물이 내게만 있느냐
5If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:너희가 참으로 나를 향하여 자만하며 내게 수치스러운 행위가 있다고 증언하려면 하려니와
6Know now that God hath overthrown me, and hath compassed me with his net.하나님이 나를 억울하게 하시고 자기 그물로 나를 에워싸신 줄을 알아야 할지니라
7Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry aloud, but there is no judgment.내가 폭행을 당한다고 부르짖으나 응답이 없고 도움을 간구하였으나 정의가 없구나
8He hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath set darkness in my paths.그가 내 길을 막아 지나가지 못하게 하시고 내 앞길에 어둠을 두셨으며
9He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.나의 영광을 거두어가시며 나의 관모를 머리에서 벗기시고
10He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and mine hope hath he removed like a tree.사면으로 나를 헐으시니 나는 죽었구나 내 희망을 나무 뽑듯 뽑으시고
11He hath also kindled his wrath against me, and he counteth me unto him as one of his enemies.나를 향하여 진노하시고 원수 같이 보시는구나
12His troops come together, and raise up their way against me, and encamp round about my tabernacle.그 군대가 일제히 나아와서 길을 돋우고 나를 치며 내 장막을 둘러 진을 쳤구나
13He hath put my brethren far from me, and mine acquaintance are verily estranged from me.나의 형제들이 나를 멀리 떠나게 하시니 나를 아는 모든 사람이 내게 낯선 사람이 되었구나
14My kinsfolk have failed, and my familiar friends have forgotten me.내 친척은 나를 버렸으며 가까운 친지들은 나를 잊었구나
15They that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me for a stranger: I am an alien in their sight.내 집에 머물러 사는 자와 내 여종들은 나를 낯선 사람으로 여기니 내가 그들 앞에서 타국 사람이 되었구나
16I called my servant, and he gave me no answer; I intreated him with my mouth.내가 내 종을 불러도 대답하지 아니하니 내 입으로 그에게 간청하여야 하겠구나
17My breath is strange to my wife, though I intreated for the children’s sake of mine own body.내 아내도 내 숨결을 싫어하며 내 허리의 자식들도 나를 가련하게 여기는구나
18Yea, young children despised me; I arose, and they spake against me.어린 아이들까지도 나를 업신여기고 내가 일어나면 나를 조롱하는구나
19All my inward friends abhorred me: and they whom I loved are turned against me.나의 가까운 친구들이 나를 미워하며 내가 사랑하는 사람들이 돌이켜 나의 원수가 되었구나
20My bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth.내 피부와 살이 뼈에 붙었고 남은 것은 겨우 잇몸 뿐이로구나
21Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends; for the hand of God hath touched me.나의 친구야 너희는 나를 불쌍히 여겨다오 나를 불쌍히 여겨다오 하나님의 손이 나를 치셨구나
22Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?너희가 어찌하여 하나님처럼 나를 박해하느냐 내 살로도 부족하냐
23Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!나의 말이 곧 기록되었으면, 책에 씌어졌으면,
24That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!철필과 납으로 영원히 돌에 새겨졌으면 좋겠노라
25For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:내가 알기에는 나의 대속자가 살아 계시니 마침내 그가 땅 위에 서실 것이라Notes
26And though after my skin worms destroy this body , yet in my flesh shall I see God:내 가죽이 벗김을 당한 뒤에도 내가 육체 밖에서 하나님을 보리라
27Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.내가 그를 보리니 내 눈으로 그를 보기를 낯선 사람처럼 하지 않을 것이라 내 마음이 초조하구나
28But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?너희가 만일 이르기를 우리가 그를 어떻게 칠까 하며 또 이르기를 일의 뿌리가 그에게 있다 할진대
29Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword, that ye may know there is a judgment.너희는 칼을 두려워 할지니라 분노는 칼의 형벌을 부르나니 너희가 심판장이 있는 줄을 알게 되리라
