¹Concerning the divisions of the porters: Of the Korhites was Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.수위대로는 코라파 므셀레미야반이 있었는데, 므셀레미야는 에비야삽의 후손 코레의 아들이었다.

²And the sons of Meshelemiah were , Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,그의 아들들은 맏아들이 즈가리야, 둘째가 여디아엘, 셋째가 즈바디야, 넷째가 얏니엘,

³Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Elioenai the seventh.다섯째가 엘람, 여섯째가 여호하난, 일곱째가 엘료에내였다.

⁴Moreover the sons of Obed-edom were , Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethaneel the fifth,오베데돔의 아들은 맏아들이 스마야, 둘째가 여호자밧, 셋째가 요아, 넷째가 사갈, 다섯째가 느다넬,

⁵Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peulthai the eighth: for God blessed him.여섯째가 암미엘, 일곱째가 이싸갈, 여덟째가 브울대였다. 오베데돔은 이렇게 하느님께 복받은 사람이었다.

⁶Also unto Shemaiah his son were sons born, that ruled throughout the house of their father: for they were mighty men of valour.그의 아들 스마야에게서 얻은 손자들이 온 가문을 거느렸다. 그들은 힘센 장사들이었다.

⁷The sons of Shemaiah; Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brethren were strong men, Elihu, and Semachiah.스마야의 아들은 옷니, 르바엘, 오벳, 엘자밧, 그리고 엘리후와 스마기야라는 장사 형제가 있었다.

⁸All these of the sons of Obed-edom: they and their sons and their brethren, able men for strength for the service, were threescore and two of Obed-edom.이상이 모두 오베데돔의 후손이다. 그들 일족은 대대로 힘이 세어 직무를 수행하기에 아무 어려움이 없었다. 오베데돔파는 모두 육십이 명이었다.

⁹And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, strong men, eighteen.므셀레미야의 아들과 형제도 장사들이었는데, 모두 십팔 명이었다.

¹⁰Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons; Simri the chief, (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him the chief;)므라리의 후손 호사에게도 아들이 있었다. 맏아들 시므리는 본디 맏아들이 아니었으나 아버지가 맏아들로 삼았다.

¹¹Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: all the sons and brethren of Hosah were thirteen.둘째는 힐키야, 셋째는 트발리야, 넷째는 즈가리야, 호사의 아들과 형제는 모두 십육 명이었다.

¹²Among these were the divisions of the porters, even among the chief men, having wards one against another, to minister in the house of the LORD .이상 수위대원들은 수문장들의 지휘 아래 다른 형제들과 함께 야훼의 성전을 지키는 일을 맡았다.

¹³And they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to the house of their fathers, for every gate.그들은 큰 가문 작은 가문 가리지 않고 제비를 뽑아 각 문을 맡았다.

¹⁴And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counsellor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.해 뜨는 쪽 문을 놓고 제비를 뽑으니, 셀레미야가 뽑혔다. 그의 아들 즈가리야는 명석한 참모였는데, 제비를 뽑아 북문을 맡게 되었다.

¹⁵To Obed-edom southward; and to his sons the house of Asuppim.오베데돔에게는 남문이 돌아갔고, 그의 아들들에게는 창고가 돌아갔다.

¹⁶To Shuppim and Hosah the lot came forth westward, with the gate Shallecheth, by the causeway of the going up, ward against ward.수빔과 호새에게는 해 지는 쪽 문과 성전으로 올라오는 큰 길 가에 있는 살레겟 문이 돌아갔다. 이렇게 서로 일을 나누어 맡았다.

¹⁷Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and toward Asuppim two and two.날마다 해 뜨는 쪽 문에 여섯 사람, 북문에 네 사람, 남문에 네 사람, 창고에는 두 사람이 배치되었다.

¹⁸At Parbar westward, four at the causeway, and two at Parbar.해 지는 쪽 회랑 큰길에는 넷이 배치되었고 회랑에는 둘이 배치되었다.

¹⁹These are the divisions of the porters among the sons of Kore, and among the sons of Merari.코라 후손과 므라리 후손 수위대는 이상과 같이 일을 나누어 맡았다.

²⁰And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.하느님의 성전 창고와 거룩한 제물 보관 창고도 그들과 일족인 레위인들이 맡았다.

²¹As concerning the sons of Laadan; the sons of the Gershonite Laadan, chief fathers, even of Laadan the Gershonite, were Jehieli.게르손 후손으로 라아단이라는 사람이 있었는데, 그의 아들 여히엘이 그 가문의 수령이었다.

²²The sons of Jehieli; Zetham, and Joel his brother, which were over the treasures of the house of the LORD .여히엘의 아들 가운데 제담과 요엘 형제가 야훼의 성전 창고를 맡았다.

²³Of the Amramites, and the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites:아므람, 이스할, 헤브론, 우찌엘 가문에서

²⁴And Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler of the treasures.모세의 손자요 게르솜의 아들인 수바엘이 모든 창고의 총관리인이 되었다.

²⁵And his brethren by Eliezer; Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.그의 동기인 엘리에젤파는 아들 르하비야, 그 다음 대는 여사이야, 그 다음 대는 요람, 그 다음 대는 지그리, 그 다음 대는 슬로밋으로 이어진다.

²⁶Which Shelomith and his brethren were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the chief fathers, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.이 슬로밋이 동기들과 함께 다윗 왕과 각 가문의 수령과 천인대장, 백인대장 등 군지휘관들이 바치는 거룩한 제물 창고를 도맡았다.

²⁷Out of the spoils won in battles did they dedicate to maintain the house of the LORD .그들은 싸움터에서 가져온 전리품 일부를 바쳐 야훼의 성전을 뒷받침하였다.

²⁸And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated; and whosoever had dedicated any thing, it was under the hand of Shelomith, and of his brethren.선견자 사무엘, 키스의 아들 사울, 넬의 아들 아브넬, 스루야의 아들 요압이 바친 거룩한 것도 다 슬로밋과 그의 동기들이 맡았다.

²⁹Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.이스할 가문에서는 그나니야가 아들들과 함께 관리이자 판사로서 이스라엘의 일반 행정을 맡아보았다.

³⁰And of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valour, a thousand and seven hundred, were officers among them of Israel on this side Jordan westward in all the business of the LORD , and in the service of the king.헤브론 가문에서는 하사비야가 천칠백 명이나 되는 동기들을 거느리고 요르단 강에서 해 지는 곳에 이르기까지 이스라엘을 지키며, 야훼의 일과 왕을 섬기는 모든 일을 하였다.

³¹Among the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even among the Hebronites, according to the generations of his fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead.또한 헤브론 가문에서는 족보와 가문을 망라해서 여리야가 수령이 되었다. 다윗은 왕이 된 지 사십 년 되던 해에 헤브론 가문을 조사하다가 길르앗 야아젤에 장사들이 있는 것을 알게 되었다.

³²And his brethren, men of valour, were two thousand and seven hundred chief fathers, whom king David made rulers over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, for every matter pertaining to God, and affairs of the king.이 여리야의 일족 가운데는 이천칠백 명 장사가 있었는데, 그들은 각 가문의 수령이었다. 다윗 왕은 그들을 임명하여 르우벤, 가드, 므나쎄 반쪽 지파를 거느리고 하느님의 일과 왕을 섬기는 일을 도맡아 하게 하였다.
