¹By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.우리가 바벨론의 여러 강변 거기에 앉아서 시온을 기억하며 울었도다 Notes

²We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.그 중의 버드나무에 우리가 우리의 수금을 걸었나니

³For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying , Sing us one of the songs of Zion.이는 우리를 사로잡은 자가 거기서 우리에게 노래를 청하며 우리를 황폐하게 한 자가 기쁨을 청하고 자기들을 위하여 시온의 노래 중 하나를 노래하라 함이로다

⁴How shall we sing the LORD’s song in a strange land?우리가 이방 땅에서 어찌 여호와의 노래를 부를까

⁵If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning .예루살렘아 내가 너를 잊을진대 내 오른손이 그의 재주를 잊을지로다

⁶If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.내가 예루살렘을 기억하지 아니하거나 내가 가장 즐거워하는 것보다 더 즐거워하지 아니할진대 내 혀가 내 입천장에 붙을지로다

⁷Remember, O LORD , the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it , rase it, even to the foundation thereof.여호와여 예루살렘이 멸망하던 날을 기억하시고 에돔 자손을 치소서 그들의 말이 헐어 버리라 헐어 버리라 그 기초까지 헐어 버리라 하였나이다

⁸O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be , that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.멸망할 딸 바벨론아 네가 우리에게 행한 대로 네게 갚는 자가 복이 있으리로다

⁹Happy shall he be , that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.네 어린 것들을 바위에 메어치는 자는 복이 있으리로다 Notes
